M.S. Graduate Research Assistantships – University of Minnesota Manure Team | Fall 2025: Are you passionate about sustainable agriculture, nutrient cycling, and innovative composting? The Manure Team at the University of Minnesota is now accepting applications for three fully funded M.S.-level Graduate Research Assistantships beginning in Fall 2025.
🔬 Research Areas
Graduate assistants will contribute to one of three cutting-edge manure management projects:
- Manure Application Strategies for Alfalfa
Optimize timing and technique to improve alfalfa productivity and soil health. - Nitrogen Credits from Manured Alfalfa for Corn Production
Study nitrogen cycling and fertility carryover in rotational cropping systems. - Liquid-Solid Separation and Composting to Remove/Inactivate Weed Seeds from Dairy Manure
Investigate composting protocols that support weed control and sustainable manure handling.
